Many of us would like to have quick, easy actions that we could do when we hear about a problem we would like to take action on. Here are some things:

• If you have a mobile phone, bookmark the numbers of your US Senators and US Rep offices.  Also bookmark your local State rep and senate offices or contacts.

• Calling them when a vote is imminent can have a powerful influence.

• Attend local events and townhalls with your congresspeople and legislators.

• Prepare a "cheatsheet" on a pocket notebook that you can refer to should you happen to meet up with one of them on the street or a bookstore.

• When issues are in the news, read several different versions in papers or online  to get a clearer picture of the story.

• Plan to attend our next Social Action Gathering at FUSH. Bring your actions and successes to share.
