The FUSH Social Action Circle has adopted a campaign to identify ways to minimize use of plastics both personally and in the community. Focus groups have identified several actions to work on, including:

Getting educated about plastic pollution of our environment and alternatives to plastic.

Organize occasional recycling trips to the Additional Recyclables Collection Center (ARCC), 540 North Main Street, Barre, VT.

Conducting food store interviews with managers about recyclable bags and containers.

Using substitute food wraps including Bees Wrap
-
Writing letters to the editors of local papers regarding local plastic pollution issues.

Contacting local political reps to initiate changes in local/state regulations regarding plastic disposal and recycling.
